26 June 2018, How amazing four years have flown by since I updated the blog! We were saddened to read Arne Brekke of Grand Forks, ND passed away because we so enjoyed our Brekke tour of Norway, recommending it to many friends.
Thanks to Lena, my Norwegian friend, who was able to have a master wood carver reproduce the Norwegian clock created for my third great-grandfather, Gandrud. The color choice is mine, and so is the scripture from my ordination.
I am creating Norwegian heirlooms for my grandchildren. My dear friend Lene Kjelvik of Christiansen, NOR, carved and did Rosemaling gifts for the girls. Leslie Landis designed and did rosemaling trunks for the boys. Approaching weddings, grandchildren will receive heirloom cake plates.
